On March 5, 2018, Frank Hurff and I drove from Ocala, Florida to Bell to visit Valerie Grondin and others at the Bell Training Track started by Warren Harp. While we were standing at the end of the track, a man drove up in a golf cart. We soon found out that we were about to meet Warren Harp, a harness horseman with a long and distinguished career. For seven years Warren told us that he trained horses at the Ben White Raceway in Orlando. He was also a friend of Hall of Famer, Jimmy Jordan. We had a wonderful conversation with Warren regarding his career and his thoughts on harness racing today. Below is a storyboard created to celebrate Warren’s career. He had recently been elected to the Florida Harness Writer Association’s Hall of Fame. Congratulations! Enlarge this image to read!
